The Board of Visitors of The Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science was created on March 7, 1955 to advise and assist the Faculty of Engineering and the Dean in the development of the School. The Board of Visitors is composed of approximately 50 active and emeriti members.

Board of Visitors

The leadership of The Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science is charged with stewarding an institution with a long history and promising future of impact that extends well beyond current students and faculty. In order to maintain an appropriately broad vision and provide an intentional channel for input from the wider community, the University Trustees created the Board of Visitors in 1955 to advise and assist in the development of the School.

Today, the Board of Visitors is composed of alumni leaders, parents, and friends.The members serve to advance the School’s vision – Engineering for Humanity – through the education and research enterprise of Columbia Engineering. To achieve this, they not only lend their institutional knowledge of the School and their respective industries, but they also prioritize serving as ambassadors.
