Accelerated MS Pathways
Two Ways to Earn Your Master’s Degree on an Accelerated Path
Eligible Columbia Engineering students can continue directly into graduate study through one of two streamlined pathways:
Both pathways help students move efficiently from bachelor’s study to graduate study—but they are designed for different academic goals.
The MS Express program is available to currently enrolled seniors at Columbia Engineering, Columbia College, Barnard, General Studies, and young alumni.
What Is MS Express?
MS Express is a simplified admissions pathway for eligible undergraduates and recent alumni within 5 years of graduation seeking admission to Columbia Engineering Master of Science programs.
Students may apply to graduate programs that differ from their undergraduate major, subject to program requirements.
What Is Integrated BS/MS?
The Integrated BS/MS pathway is designed for students who plan to earn both degrees in the same major through a coordinated academic pathway.
Students apply during junior year and may count up to two approved courses toward both degree requirements.
