Sang Jun Park

During his time at Columbia, Sang Jun has developed an interest in the intersection between technology and government affiliated industries. Government affiliated industries is defined as any industry where the local or federal government has historically been a gatekeeper or overseer, such as in healthcare, education, mass transportation, finances, or public safety.

During the summer of 2016, Sang Jun was a research intern at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, TN where he created a framework for real-time analysis of the U.S. energy grids using anomaly detection techniques. In 2017, he worked as a software engineering intern at Oscar Health, a technology-focused health insurance startup in New York City, and was a Rough Draft Ventures Fellow. In 2018, he interned at Growth Big Bets team at Facebook. He is also a founder of CodePhil, a nonprofit focused on democratizing access to digital literacy education in rural Southeast Asia.
