THE DEPARTMENT OF CHEMICAL ENGINEERING is one of the oldest in the country but has continued to evolve to remain relevant to current needs of industry. To showcase the recent research of faculty and students, the Department sponsored Expo 2003, a day-long event bringing together faculty, alumni, and students. Shown here, from left, are: Jeffrey Koberstein, Department Chair (on sabbatical); Christopher Durning, acting Chair; Frank S.
