Study Abroad

Columbia Engineering students have the option of studying engineering at one of the School’s partner universities or you can choose a peer university. The Office of Global Programs and the Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Student Affairs and Global Programs will review your choice, and if it is approved, will help you work out your course equivalencies.

Steps in Planning Undergraduate Study Abroad
  1. Visit the Office of Global Programs in 606 Kent Hall to review program options and opportunities.
  2. Meet with your Advising Dean to review degree progress and obtain study abroad clearance as well as approval for non-technical courses.
  3. Visit the Office of the Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Student Affairs and Global Programs in 254 Mudd to review course equivalences for study abroad and to obtain course approvals for major and technical courses.
  4. Complete the application process through the Office of Global Programs.
