Senior Fund

Info about Senior Fund
The Engineering Senior Fund brings together members of the Class of 2013 to show their support, enthusiasm, and commitment to Columbia Engineering. The Senior Fund builds upon the established connections that seniors have with the School and the University. It also fosters the development of a lifelong relationship as the class transitions from students to alumni. The ultimate goal of the Senior Fund is to create a culture in which seniors maintain their connection while taking advantage of volunteer opportunities and providing financial support as alumni. Meet the members of the Senior Fund Committee.
Each year as part of the Engineering Fund, the Senior Fund raises critical donations for the core mission of Columbia Engineering. Those donations fund specific priorities such as financial aid, faculty support, student life, and entrepreneurial programming. The Senior Fund represents the first opportunity for the Class of 2013 to make a statement of philanthropic support to Columbia Engineering. As they become the newest Engineering alumni, the Class of 2013 becomes part of the tradition of support that will fund the Columbia Engineering experience for the students who follow them, just as current students benefit from the generosity of prior Columbians.
Leadership Giving
Columbia Engineering’s Dean’s Leadership Society recognizes students, alumni, and friends who have gone above and beyond in their philanthropic support of the School. As leadership supporters, they are given special opportunities to interact with faculty, students, and alumni. Seniors who contribute a cumulative total of $50 or more to the Senior Fund prior to the 2013 class dinner are identified as Dean’s Leadership Society members and throughout the year the Senior Fund will create opportunities to recognize these seniors. Please reach out to any member of the committee if you have any questions or would like more information.
Message from Co-Chairs Leonard Robinson and Dasmer Singh
Because tuition does not cover the full cost of a Columbia Engineering education, each of us has already benefited from the generosity of Columbia Engineering’s alumni and past students. Gifts to the Senior Fund support not only financial aid and research, but also student life, faculty recruitment, and individual engineering departments. We will need all of your help to reach our goals of contributing $5,000 from at least 75% of the class before our senior dinner in May. We hope you will all participate and we look forward to being a part of making this an incredible year for the Class of 2013!
How to give
The simplest way to give is by donating online. You can also give at most senior events, by finding any member of the Senior Fund Committee, or in 530 Mudd. Gifts can be made using cash, check, or credit card.
