President and CEO, Weidlinger Associates, Inc.
Dr. Raymond P. Daddazio is President and Chief Executive Officer of Weidlinger Associates, Inc., a multi-disciplinary civil and structural engineering consulting firm headquartered in New York City. Dr. Daddazio has extensive experience in the development and application of advanced analysis techniques to structural dynamic problems. Since 1996, he has been a Principal Investigator in the US Government's Technical Support Working Group (TSWG) countering terrorism program.
Prior to his election as Weidlinger's President in 2006, Dr. Daddazio served as the Director of Weidlinger's Applied Science Division. In this position, he engaged in supervising and monitoring all of the firm's advanced analysis of blast effects on structures, including civil infrastructure elements such as bridges, tunnels and terminals belonging to the Part Authority of New York and New Jersey's $560 million physical security initiative, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority of the State of New York's $600 million physical security initiative and New York State Department of Transportation Route 9A project, part of Lower Manhattan redevelopment. A major part of his role is interacting with the various stakeholders in the Lower Manhattan redevelopment, communicating and understanding concerns and helping to develop balanced protective designs.
Dr. Daddazio received his B.S., M.S. and Eng.Sc.D. degrees from Columbia University's Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science.
