Jason Stratos: Industrialist
Jason Stratos returned to Greece the year after graduation and, following military service in the technical corps of the Greek Army, he received his diploma in mechanical and electrical engineering from National Technical University of Athens.
During the 1960s, he became director of Piraiki Patraiki Cotton Manufacturing Industry, Inc.; managing director of BIEX Industrial Installations and Constructions, Inc.; and managing director of Aspioti-Elka, a book and general printing company. During the 1970s, he was chairman of Icap Hellas, a business information and consulting company, and chairman of Hellenic Airospace Industry Inc., a national industry for the maintenance and manufacturing of Greek Air Force and other military and civil aircraft.
From 1992 to 2000, Jason was Chairman of the Federation of Greek Industries, and, in 2000, was appointed as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aluminum de Grece SA, a company that produces bauxite, hydrated and calcinated alumina, and aluminum.
Jason is a member of the Board of directors of several companies and has served as a leader of the Boy Scouts of Greece and the Greek Red Cross.
Jason has been honored with the rank of Commandeur de l’Ordre National du Merite of France, is an honorary member of the Board of Directors of the Greek Chamber of Commerce, and received the Silver Phoenix, the highest distinction given by the Boy Scouts of Greece.
