Isabel V. Wang

Isabel seeks to continuously grow and contribute as engineer through her involvement in research and other work at Columbia and beyond. Over the past few years, Isabel has contributed to projects of teams at the Columbia Water Center of the Earth Institute, the Stark Lab in the CUNY Institute of Macromolecular Assemblies at the City College of New York, and the Center of Public Research and Leadership (CPRL) at the Columbia Law School. During her time at Columbia, Isabel has also become increasingly involved in the applied mathematics community at Columbia, having served as vice-president of the Columbia Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics chapter (CU SIAM), organizing its outreach and student engagement initiatives. Previously, she served as its Programming Chair; drawing upon her past experiences as a participant of programs including the Science Honors Program at Columbia and the Program in Mathematics for Young Scientists at Boston University, Isabel helped co-organize Columbia’s first ongoing data science boot-camp for high school students in the tristate area.
