Largest-Ever Conference for Structural Safety and Reliability Held at Columbia Engineering

Columbia Engineering Hosts First Music and Audio Hackathon

Participants at the event, held by Electrical Engineering Professor Dan Ellis' Laboratory for the Recognition and Organization of Speech and Audio, worked on the development of new techniques for analyzing, processing, and synthesizing audio and music signals.  MORE

Summer Engineering: Ideas at Work

High school students took a recent field trip to Rockaway Beach, Queens, to learn how solar arrays developed by Rob van Haaren, a PhD student in the Department of Earth and Environmental Engineering, provided power to an area crippled by last year’s Hurricane Sandy. MORE

March in the Alumni Parade at Convocation

Join fellow alumni as we welcome the Class of 2017 to campus at the annual Convocation ceremony. Alumni from CC and SEAS will march together in the Parade of Classes, and are welcome to stay for the remainder of the ceremony, which will include speeches from Dean Boyce and President Bollinger. The Future of Money

Columbia Engineering is joining forces with the Columbia Alumni Association to host the next installment of the Columbia Engineering Entrepreneurship Night. Alumni in the Bay Area are invited to this interesting night of discussion around the future of money. The evening will feature talks from Chris Dixon '96GS, partner at Andreessen Horowitz, Ben Milne, CEO of Dwolla, and Steven Bellovin, Professor of Computer Science at Columbia Engineering. An Evening with Jack Dorsey

Jack Dorsey is the creator, co-founder, and chairman of Twitter, and the co-founder and CEO of Square, and was recognized as one of Time Magazine's 100 most influential people and Wall Street Journal Magazine’s Technology "Innovator of the Year." Alumni are invited to join us for an on-campus discussion with Mr. Dorsey. Following the talk, stick around and engage with the Columbia Founders Trade Show. Ten early-stage ventures, all founded by Columbia entrepreneurs, will be demonstrating their business.
