Anne Gates

Anne Gates is the President of MGA Entertainment, the largest privately held global toy company.

Prior to that she executive vice president and chief financial officer at Walt Disney Consumer Products (DCP). During her tenure, she oversaw the finance and accounting functions as well as the North America Sales team and its information technology function.

Ms. Gates joined Disney in 1991 as a senior manager for Operations and Planning. In 1993, she was promoted to vice president, Division Finance and Planning and was named vice president, Planning and Business Development at Disney Interactive Studios in 1997. Following an assignment as vice president, Operations Planning at Disney’s corporate division, Ms. Gates was promoted to senior vice president and named the Disney Consumer Products chief financial officer. She was promoted again to executive vice president in 2001, leading DCP’s finance and accounting functions, budgetary and strategic planning reviews, the division's information technology function, and overseeing emerging markets.

Prior to joining Disney, Ms. Gates worked for PepsiCo. Ms. Gates received a BA in mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MS in operations research from the School of Engineering and Applied Science, Columbia University.
