Dean’s Leadership Society

Engineering Fund donors who cumulatively give $1,000 or more during one fiscal year are recognized with membership to the Dean’s Leadership Society (young alumni receive a discount). Gifts from Dean’s Leadership Society members represent nearly 80% of the total revenue for the Engineering Fund each year. Thus, gifts at this level are extraordinarily important to the Fund’s ability to reach its annual goal, and the School’s long-term success towards achieving its mission.

VALUE OF MEMBERSHIP
The most important reason to support the Engineering Fund at a Dean’s Leadership Society level is your dedication to the mission and priorities of Columbia Engineering. We also recognize that gifts at this level are extraordinarily meaningful for both the School and the donor. There are four general ways that we acknowledge a Dean’s Leadership Society commitment. Each of these areas depends on the personal relationship between the donor and the School. If you have specific thoughts, please speak with a Fund Officer. Dean’s Leadership Society donors receive:
  • Recognition in the School’s annual report, distributed by the Office of Alumni and Development and available on our website. Donors are also recognized as appropriate at special events and meetings throughout the year.
  • Invitations to special receptions before signature events and unique opportunities to attend small gatherings with current students, the Dean, senior administrators, and other prominent alumni.
  • Communications from the Dean and the Office of Alumni and Development about special events, announcements, and news from the School before the general public.
  • Access to senior administrators, staff, and faculty through your personal staff liaison in the Office of Alumni and Development. Your liaison is your connection to the entire Columbia Engineering community.
