Ali Dogramaci '72, '75

Ali Dogramaci is chairman of the board of trustees and president of Bilkent University, a position he has occupied since 2010. Prior to his chairmanship, he served as provost and later as rector of Bilkent. Ali also serves as the chair of the board of directors of Bilkent Holding A.S., all profits of which are used to subsidize Bilkent University and the non-profit K-12 International Baccalaureate schools built by Dogramaci Foundations in Eastern Anatolia and Northern Iraq.
 
Ali Dogramaci received his MS in 1972 and PhD in 1975 from Columbia Engineering in Industrial and Management Engineering and was a faculty member for five years before returning to Turkey to teach at Bilkent University. He also holds BS (1966) and MS (1967) degrees in civil engineering from Middle East Technical University and Stanford University, respectively.
